What personal data we collect and why we collect it

To comply with GDPR 2018, we (Harvest Fine Foods) are a data controller who values the personal information entrusted to us and we respect that trust.

To provide products or services to you, we may need to collect certain personal details from you. These details will include, where applicable, your names, home/company address and email address, credit/debit card or other payment details and special requirements such as dietary restrictions which may disclose your religious beliefs. If we need any other personal details, we will tell you before we obtain them from you.

Harvest take the security of our customers’ personal and financial details very seriously indeed! That is why we leave the processing of credit or debit card transactions to a top online payment provider called Braintree which is a Paypal service provider. Braintree are a PCI compliant Payment Processor approved by our Banking partners and support the 3D services “Verified by Visa” and “MasterCard SecureCode”.

All online payments are fully secured with the highest-possible level of encryption and no financial details are stored by Harvest at any time.  When you make a payment via this website, your card details are transmitted securely directly to the Braintree Secure Servers.

We accept payment online using of the following:

  • Maestro
  • Additional card payment means will be added in time

If you would prefer to pay over the phone, we are happy to take your order and will collect payment from you on the day of delivery. We are open Monday to Friday 0800 – 1600 and Saturday from 0800 – 1130 on 01202 470444. If you are placing your order over the phone our staff enter your card details straight into our virtual online terminal and are never written down.

We need to pass on your personal details to the companies and organisations who need to know them so that your products or services can be provided (for example credit/debit card companies or banks using the methods above). Credit/debit card details will never be stored at Harvest after use.

We may need to store and use your personal details as well as business information to fulfil contractual obligations with you but will always request your explicit consent for future marketing purposes (for example, sending you a brochure or details of a promotion). We ask that you sign up to our marketing campaigns separately.

We keep personal information to a minimum and delete it when no longer needed. We will never sell your names and addresses to other companies or organisations outside of Harvest Fine Foods and we have effective safeguards in place to make sure personal information is kept securely and does not fall into the wrong hands.

You are entitled to ask us (by letter or e-mail) what details of yours are being held or processed, for what purpose and to whom they may be or have been disclosed. We are open with individuals about how we use their information and who we give it to and make it easy for individuals to access and correct their personal information.

We aim to respond to requests within 40 days of receiving your written request and fee. In certain limited circumstances we are entitled to refuse.We regularly check that we are living up to our promises and report on how we are doing and endeavour to exceed the letter of the law and adopt good practice standards.
